Q: Why The Little Love Library?

A: I think it's important to follow your heart and your dreams.  I've always envisioned having my own product or service.  But I got swept away with the craziness of working full time and having littles.  When I began staying home with my children, I focused on them. But I also needed to find "me," which is something every parents struggles with I'm sure. So I pursued the notes that I wrote over the years around stories.  I kept a section on my phone for whenever I had an idea or a book start. I officially opened The Little Love Library in 2021 and I am working to release a few titles this year.

Q: How did you choose your name?

A: I find myself calling my kiddos "love" a lot. And they're still little (well they're growing like weeds, but they're still babies to me). I wanted to capture my children in everything that I created.  And this journey has been brought to life because of the love for my littles.

Q: What does self publishing mean?

A: Self publishing is challenging, but it's also so rewarding.  It means that I get to run with all aspects of my book.  I personally decided on my illustrator/designer, copy, editing, printing, marketing, etc. I am hands on with everything that makes up The Little Love Library.

Q: How long does it take to self publish a book?

A: Self publishing is a faster route versus traditional publishing, but the timeline can still vary.  Once you have a manuscript and illustrations, there's still a lot of backend work that needs to be obtained such as copyright, marketing, price justification, ISBN #s and barcodes, print formatting and layout, etc. For me personally, I expect to spend at least 6 months (and that's aggressive) on each book title.

Q: What makes The Little Love Library different?

A: There are many children's books available through publishers and self publishers. I consider this more of a boutique collection because each book is hand crafted and created by me and my illustrator. Every word, every detail, has so much behind it. We worked hard to capture the attention of the reader whether it's being read by a child or an adult.  My designer and I illustrated each picture with extreme critique and awareness. I'll let you in on a little secret- each book will have a hidden heart within an illustration (the same one that is used in the brand's logo). This search also makes reading fun and engaging.  I am also excited to include book props with each book title. With every book release, I will be offering fun and educational resources that compliment each book title.

Q: How did you know who to work with?

A: As with anything professionally, a powerful network and connection is important. I also think that the village of motherhood is magical. I work with individuals that not only help me grow, but that also enable a strong and honest relationship.

Q: Can I make a return?

A: If you're unhappy with an item, please reach out to me. Book purchases are non refundable upon receipt.  But if your book arrived damaged from shipping, please email me a photo and description and I will make sure you get a new book.

Q: Do you ship to other countries outside of the U.S.A.?

A: At this time, all shipments will ship within the U.S.. For other destinations, please reach out before placing an order.
